In between Christmas and New years we were thinking about going to the cabin. But it's such a production to get there, and home, we opted for some closer winter fun. We had heard about this fun little town in Washington called Leavenworth. I tried to get a hotel- but everything was booked. So I called every morning and every night at the hotel I wanted until they had a cancellation on the days we wanted. I was able to get a reservation and was so excited! We got a great room with a fireplace and a balcony that looked right onto the center of town. It was as at a really nice hotel and we had the best time. It was beautiful!
What's funner than challenges when your a kid? Like laying in the snow for 30 seconds?! Fun!
The breakfasts at our hotel were amazing. Actually, everything about the hotel was amazing. Check out this fireplace. They had free cookies, hot chocolate, and apple cider in the lobby at all times. We ate our fair share.
Lots and lots of bakeries. We got one of everything. Then headed out into the snow. Bundling up 5 kids was a lot of work. I was happy we didn't go to Cooke.
The town was so fun. We had bratwurst many times. And hot chocolate.
Kyle and I went to the Nutcracker Museum. It felt more like an old ladies house than a museum.
Can you tell who these nutcrackers are?
Selfie with the Mensch!
The Christmas lights there were just so beautiful I couldn't get enough pictures! If you ever want to go somewhere fun for Christmas- Leavenworth is an amazing destination.
