So, I've got 3 fun projects going on right now. I am super excited about this awesome solid wood bookcase I scored off of craigslist for $30!! He had it listed for $85.00 but after someone coming to look at it and deciding it was to big, he was eager to get rid of it. It took me a week to convince Darren, as he originally said, "NO, NO, NO, NO WAY! ABSOLUTLEY NOT!!!" We went and picked it up yesterday, and my brother David came to help. He said, "wait, is this bookcase made out of Popler wood?" I said yea why? And he said Marilyn went and looked at it last week! It was too big for her project. So, thanks to her the guy gave me a great price! Thanks Marilyn! Great minds think alike! My plan is to cut off the top row:( It is just to tall for the spot I need to put it. Then I am going to stain it a dark brown/red. Then I am going to put boards on the back lined with wallpaper. I just am not if I want to do colorful flowery, or simple pattern so I could use it in another room if needed. Anyways, I love it! And I am super excited to redo the dining room!

The Tooth Fairy
Ok, so Paul know the truth about the tooth fairy. She leaves you money! And for an 8 year old business man, that is important! So, he lost a tooth at school- with out us even knowing he had a loose tooth! With Ellie a loose tooth consists of weeks of wiggling. Weeks of whining, not being able to eat anything. Weeks of begging her to let Darren pull it out because it is hanging by a piece of flesh the size of floss.
Anyways, so he lost a tooth, and really does know who the tooth fairy is. So, the first night I forgot. He was pretty upset. I said, "Listen, I'll leave you 2 dollars tomorrow, ok?" he was happy with that and it got me out of hot water. But, the next night I literately had NO money in the house. I couldn't even scrounge up enough change for 2 dollars! I thought it was no big deal until the next morning when he woke me up at 5:30 in the morning crying because the tooth fairy forgot him. I explained that I had tried, but had no money. So, he says to me, "Why didn't you just write me a check?!!." Well, why didn't I think of that?
Master bedroom
3 bunches of flowers
So, after Darren left on his mission I had to have surgery on my jaw. It had to be wired shut for 2 weeks. I had 2 boyfriends out in the mission field. (I know that's terrible!) I told my mom and dad I would marry which ever one sent me flowers after my surgery. Well, the day I got home from the hospital a bunch of flowers arrived via Darren's brother! It was so sweet- he had sent Corey money to bring me flowers. It was decided. I was going to marry Darren. The next day, very unexpectidly, another bunch of flowers showed up! This sealed the deal for sure! Then to my great surprise on the 3rd day another bunch! It had a note with it that said, "This is it!" I still have that note.
Well, last week I had a complete breakdown. Why? To be blunt it was that time of month, and so I was extremely emotional. I was frustrated with never getting the kids to bed on time. My DAILY struggle. Every morning I think, "TODAY I am getting the kids to bed on time!! I've had it!" but EVERY day, something comes up, I get distracted, I'm to tired, or honestly, I just feel like watching a movie with them.
So, I was tired and having a breakdown.
The next morning I woke up to the beautiful pink flowers in my bathroom. (I moved them to my bedroom) Oh how they made me smile!!(and it had been a LOOOOONG time since Darren had given me flowers.) I headed downstairs in a great mood only to find a 2nd bunch of flowers in the kitchen! And then I ran to the office hoping for a third, and I was right! Great minds think alike. There in the office was a third bunch of flowers. I guess he was making up for the long stretch of no flowers:) Wow, I love Darren. And he loves me I guess!

Paul- my favorite 8 year old!
Paul is such a cute kid. He is so sweet. Yesterday at 1:00 the school nurse called me. She said Paul had fallen off the monkey bars and hurt his arm. He was crying and in a lot of pain. I knew it was broken- and yep it was. He has to wear his cast for 4 weeks and then a splint for 2 weeks.
The doctor said that he can not do any physical activities that might cause him to fall because it could break the bone worse and then he would have to have surgery. So the doctor told him to play lots of video games! Paul's eye's were as wide as quarters when he said that- talk about a happy kid!
