The drive to Tennesse and arrival!

Can you believe it? We left Utah in a blizzard 3 days earlier. When we got to David and Marilyn's the weather was beautiful and we went swimming almost every day. It was fun to have my mom and dad stay a couple of days to just hang out.

Moving to Tennessee

So, I have wanted to post these pictures for a while. When we left Rigby in May to move to Tennesse- we drove to Utah and stayed at my parents house. The morning we were leaving to drive across the country it snowed like crazy!! Thank goodness my dad drove and we ended up having a great time. The kids were good-for the most part. I was soooo happy to get there!

Missing home

Should I write this? I can not sleep. I miss my old home so much. I miss my dear friends and the street I lived on. I miss my ward. I miss Natalie, Lisa, Jessica, Amy, Jodi, Kimberly, Annette, Karen, BJ, Yovonne etc..... I miss my chickens and my shed and my flowers beds. I miss my garden and my fountain and my white picket fence. I miss Jasmine and Salad. I miss owning my own home. I miss the West. I miss Farrah Kay's Relief Society lessons. I miss all the preparedness talks, And gardening and canning on my back patio. I miss picking apples at Marys. And going to movies at Edwards. When school starts I am going to miss watching the stream of kids walk down the street. Thinking about how much I loved our neighborhood and street. Knowing that they would be safe. I missed not having a party for Eclipse. I miss exercising with Natalie. I miss my sprinkler system. I miss all the neighborhood kids going from house to house. I miss the field in our back yard. I miss Darren giving kids rides in the field on his motorcycle. I laid in bed and cried tonight. I wonder what I am doing here? My kids are still struggling so much and tell me everyday they want to move back to Idaho. Life is so hard sometimes. I have good days and bad. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day.

Front of our house

I figured I would add some pictures of the front of our house. The setting for this house took my breath away the first time I saw it. Now if only I could own it I would paint all the shutter white, add some flower boxes under the windows, change the front light fixtures and the front door knob, add some hydrangeas, and some flower beds, and.... well, maybe it's a good thing I don't own the house.

Almost done with the office!

Today I added a chair and soft white rug to the office. Tomorrow I am going to hang some pictures and finish things. I think this room is going to be a hit- especially with the ultra-soft comfy down chair. Everyone loves it already!
