Well, it looks like we have some music talent in the family. Paul is really starting to get good at the trumpet. He went to a Jazz Festival in Idaho and played with his band. He had 3 solos- and his teacher said he did great. He loves playing I love listening to him. His band teacher, Mr. Boyson is great. He told me Paul is amazing for only playing the trumpet a year. The best part is that Paul really enjoys it! Yea!

White Out
Have you ever tried to get white-out off of something it's not supposed to be on? It's hard. Like really hard. Thank goodness for the internet I found out that Goo Gone would get it off. Thank goodness Gabe is so cute and had no idea that he shouldn't be painting my office chair with white-out, or he would have been in big trouble. Instead I just took his picture of his being so cute and proud of his art project.
Valentines Day
I know, I'm so far behind. But I need to catch up. Here is Valentines Day. I was actually feeling ok the night before- which happened to be Darren and my 16 year anniversary. He gave me and Ellie flowers for Valentines. Other than that we didn't buy each other a thing. And I was to sick to care.
Thank goodness I have great older kids that made set the table really fun and Darren made a great Valentines dinner. He made breakfast for dinner, crepes with strawberries and whipping cream- one of our favorites! Thanks Darren for being so sweet. And thanks to my wonderful kids who have been so helpful and understanding through this morning sickness. I love spending Valentines with my family.

Missing Church
We missed church cause I was too sick to go. My kids had their own primary. It was a great idea, but I think it just ended it a bunch of arguments of who was in charge. I laid on my couch, wishing I felt good enough to go take control. But I didn't. I told them to just watch a movie.
Gabe's Birthday
Well, as you know I have been pretty sick for the last couple of months. I haven't blogged about much except my misery. So I have some catching up to do on the fun things we have been up to. Gabe's birthday was over a month ago. I had 3 leftover presents from Christmas and that was what he got. I laid on the couch all day and Darren made him cake. He wanted a pink cake. I have no idea where he got the pink idea from- but whatever.
Gabe- our sweet little 3 year old. he is such a joy to our family. He is our entertainment! Love this baby!!

The Light at the End of the Tunnel
Well... I am starting to feel better! Yes, that's right. I am not utterly and completely depressed anymore. It has been a long 2 months. I'm sure you know. I still have bad days, but overall I am slowly starting to feel better. Each day I feel a LITTLE bit better.Even though I am not super sick anymore- It's still hard when I don't ever feel quite "normal". I'm always tired, or sick, or fell big and slow. I wonder if this constant feeling of nausea will ever go away. I wonder if I'll ever be myself again. I tell myself I have done this 4 times before- and each time I have returned to myself. I am almost 14 weeks and I just hope I feel good during my middle trimester. I have with every other pregnancy. I've never felt this big before.
Poor Paul loves to read my blog. The other day he said, "mom, can you blog about something other than morning sickness? Every post is, I'm so sick, blah, blah blah." Ok Paul- I'll post about some other things.
I do want to tell a story about how sweet Paul is. A few weeks ago it was Fast Sunday, and I felt good! I had moments of feeling completely normal! In fact, I don't think I've had such a good day since then. I helped make dinner that night, and at dinner I said, "I have felt almost normal today!" And Paul said, "I fasted you would feel better today." What a sweet kid! It was so thoughtful of him and just made me so happy. I have amazing kids. Now, if I can just get through this pregnancy maybe I can be amazing too, cause right now, I'm totally crazy.

How to tell
When I tell someone I am sick with morning sickness I can immediately tell if they have been through REAL morning sickness or not by their reply. Here are some real examples of what people have said:
Responses of people who have NOT experienced REAL morning sickness:
"Oh, you need to eat oranges. They really helped!" Really???
"I heard popcorn helps." You've got to be kidding me. IF I could handle the smell??
"Hope your feeling better, can I give you a food assignment for the Blue and Gold Banquet?" I don't even cook for myself!!
"I'm sorry, I loved being pregnant!" Just leave before someone gets hurt.
"Oh, I know, I was so sick too." This came from someone who didn't tell anyone but her spouse she was pregnant till she was l4 weeks along. Sorry, but if you can lead a normal life- your not SO sick!!
Responses of people who have experienced REAL morning sickness:
"Oh, my gosh. I am sooooo sorry!!! That is the worst!!!!" Yes, yes it is.
"I would throw-up in the morning before I ate breakfast. That seemed to help." Oh boy, I guess dry-heaving is better than throwing up breakfast. This was Christina's advice.
"Try and force yourself to eat a little something before bed- then you won't have to get up in the middle of the night to throw-up." Poor Julia!
"Yea, I would get depression really bad- It's like I"d been possessed." Yea, pretty much.
Another hint that someone has bad morning sickness is that it is all they blog about for 2 months. It's a sign that is pretty much what rules their whole life right now. Poor woman!
