Spring Break, Boise 20016

I love Spring Break! It's one of my favorite vacations each year.  Last year we stopped at Mark and Malinda's and stayed the night on the way to Utah.  We love staying at their house. they are always the bests hosts.  Plus we almost always go out to dinner at a fun restaurant.  We also usually do some fun shopping.  Malinda took me to pretty much the COOLEST store I have ever been to!  It was like Word Market on steroids!  I was pretty much in heaven and wanted to buy everything.  I was especially smitten with the light fixtures.  I want them, I NEED them for my house. But I all I got were pictures.  Maybe next time.

Angels on Earth (Named Marilyn DeBry)

If any of you know Marilyn, you know she is pretty much one of the sweetest, kindest person here on Earth.  Oh, and she's super creative, artistic, fun, talented, and pretty darn funny.  She is amazing.  Oh, and she has 9 kids.  Anyways, she brought up some of her kids to visit us and see our new house.  She stayed a couple of days, and helped me do some projects.  We also went to the local pharmacy on Main Street and went to the soda fountain.  It was pretty nostalgic.  There were lots of old people who loved visiting with Marilyn and cute little Katherine. We had a great time.  I love you Marilyn!

Campfire

One of our favorite things to do as a family is go camping.  The problem with camping is how much work it is to go!  So sometimes, when we want to get out into nature, but not put forth all the work of camping- we go have a campfire.  Then we go home and sleep in our soft, warm, clean, beds.  Win/win! The kids love it! Kyle is a sugar maniac and LOVES s'mores.  He will pretty much do anything for some s'mores.

It's funny how each of the kids personalities comes out so much when we are outdoors.
Paul is always doing some experiment.  Which involves some danger, making a huge mess, and ruining something of mine or Darrens.  This particular time he brought some marbles from home and wanted to see if he could get them hot enough to melt.  Like I said, dangerous, messy, and destroying perfectly good things.
Ellie is usually playing with her dog. Lilly.  `And talking about boys, and friends.
Kyle is concerned with one thing.  How many s'mores he can consume.  Seriously.  All the kid cares about is sugar.
Gabe is running around saying how much he loves everything! "Mom, I love campfires! Thanks so much mom for letting us have a campfire!  I love the fire.  I love that flower.  I love your shirt mom.  I love s'mores mom.  I love this rock mom.  I love this chair mom."  Well Gabe, I love you!
Luke is just being a cute little baby.
What more could a mom ask for?

Life as a Dad

So Darren and I were getting ready for a date- Darren couldn't find a nice, clean shirt that was ironed.  Because, well, I don't iron.  We were running a couple of minutes late, and Darren was holding Luke till I finished getting ready.  Then he handed Luke to the babysitter and was like, "AHHHH!" I'm sure you can tell what happened from the pictures.  Baby poop.  yeah.  Needless to say- Darren had to go change his whole outfit.  And I resolved to make sure I start ironing his shirts.

Moving Help

Shortly after we moved in my mom and dad came up to spend a day helping us.  It wasn't long- but I'll take what I can get! We had a great time.  We went to this restaurant called Hales where they have HUGE serving sizes.  My dad was so nice to take Luke on a walk in the stroller to put him back to sleep.  While my mom and I hung pictures on the wall.  Later, I found Gabe "helping" by hammering all sorts of nail holes in the wall.  Thanks Gabe :)

Saying Goodbye

We have moved a lot.  People always ask how we do it.  And to be honest I never get really emotional about moving.  The only time I got emotional about moving is when we had to leave Rigby, Idaho.  Other than that I don't get emotional.  I don't cry.  I just look forward to the next adventure.  So when we moved in Hermiston, we moved neighborhoods, and we moved wards.  And no, I didn't cry.  I like my old ward and I like my new ward.  They are both great.  I hated my old neighborhood and I LOVE my new neighborhood.  So, maybe I cried with joy to leave my old ghetto neighborhood.  This neighborhood is SOOOO much better.  Kyle had to move schools.  Did he cry?  Was he scared?  Nope- he kinda has my same attitude.  His last school was great, and he new one will be great too.  Here he is on the last day of school giving everyone high fives.  I think the kids in his class were sad to see him go.  He is defiantly the class clown and everyone loved him.

And here's some pictures of Gabe wishing he could go to school.  Poor guy.  Now he is in preschool and just loving it.

Easter 2016

Well, to be honest I can't really remember what we did for Easter last year.  From the pictures I guess we stayed home and had an Easter egg hunt.  And Mark visited.  We always love it when Mark's family visits!
