A Short History of Paul's Life
Paul had to write a short history of his life. I got the biggest kick out of reading this. He did a great job writing it. Sadly, Gabe got a pair of scissors and cut it into pieces. I taped it back together, but still couldn't find a couple of pieces.
Cross Country
Paul joined the Cross Country team this year. We were a little apprehensive if he would like it or not. I pretty much told him he didn't have a choice, so he should make the best of it. He has loved it! It is every day after school from 3:30-5, and track meets once a week. They usually run 2-4 miles. I am so happy that he has really enjoyed it. He loves his coach, a girl that is a thin as a stick, and looks 17. But I guess she is 27?! She is so nice and has made the year great for the team. He has also loved his team mates and had a great time with them. I am so proud of him for sticking with it.

Apology
I love this note Paul wrote to Kyle after they got in a fight. I didn't even ask Paul to apologize, I had just sent him to his room and he came out with this. He is such a sweet kid, with a soft heart.
Darren's Job
I went in for lunch with Darren a couple of Saturdays ago. The hospital was kind of empty so Darren let me take a look at one of the anesthesia machines. I think he has such a cool job. He gets to help save peoples lives- every day. And he does a good job at it. Darren is VERY serious about his job. Even though he has graduated, he is still constantly studying, and ready anesthesia books. If I had to ever have someone do anesthesia on me- it would be him. I know how serious he takes his job and how good he is at it. I am so proud of him. Whenever he is on call and gets called in to do an epidural I tell him- You are going to be some women's favorite person today! I know how thankful she will be for you!
Not only is he smart, funny, and hardworking- he is also so good looking in his surgery cap!
First Day of School
First day of school pictures- of course! Kyle was a little sad to go to school this year because he is the only one going to Elementary school. Paul and Ellie are both in Junior High this year. Poor kids. I have no idea why they make Junior High 3 years long and prolong the misery.
Ellie was sooo excited for Middle School. So far she is loving it, and Paul is liking it too. I am so glad!!

My Dream House
Ok people. Check out this house. This is my kind of house. It is run down, neglected, falling apart, and a one of a kind beautiful house. I am in love. This is what I dream of getting one day. I would LOVE to fix up this house, like, love, love, love. It could be so amazing!! Ahhhhhh. For now I'll just have to dream.

Baby Chase
After a week of being spiritually enlightened, we headed home. We stopped to see Erica and Mike and their sweet new baby, Chase. Grandma Sheila was also there helping Erica with the new baby. They had dinner all ready for us when we stopped. It was so good to see them.
Cute little guy! I should have taken more pictures. Congrats Erica and Mike- we are so happy for you!
