Ok- I am going to let it all out. If you don't want to hear me complain- don't read this post. Come back mid Feb. when I have had the baby and am halfway normal again. Then don't read anything for about 2 months during my lack of sleep months and then mid. April I should be feeling good again. But right now I am not normal. I am an emotional roller coaster.
I am due in 9 days. But honestly I feel like if I am pregnant 1 more day I might just lose it. Yesterday evening I had contractions for about 5 hours. I was getting pretty excited. Darren and I cleaned the house and made plans for the kids for the evening. Then they stopped. That is the second time that has happened. It happened last Monday night. My doctor says my body is practicing- I'm thinking I've had 3 kids, my body doesn't need to practice! I feel like my body can not take another day (or night!) of being pregnant. I feel like 5 years has been taken off my life and if I get any bigger my stomach is going to burst open and I am going to die. Seriously. I can hardly walk, or sit or lay. My feet are swollen, my hands are swollen, and my brain doesn't work. Yesterday I went to Paul's school and I could not remember where his classroom was. Seriously. What was I saying?
I had a list of stuff To Do Before Baby, to keep me motivated- but tonight I laid in bed for a half hour unable to do anything but stare at the ceiling and wallow in self pity. I have no more motivation. The only thing I want to do is go into labor. At night I can't sleep- all I can think about is having this baby. I think I'll go for a walk. Maybe that will help. Wish me luck.

Going Out No More
The last couple days every where I go people stare at me. Seriously stare! I can see people look at my face, then they look down at my belly, then their eyes get really big. I feel like saying, "what, haven't you ever seen a pregnant lady before?!"
Today we went to the library and I had 8 people in an hour ask when I am due, here are a few of the things that people seriously said to me today:
"oh, your getting close!"( you are big!)
"you must only have a few days" (what are you doing out walking around in your condition?)
"You are pregnant, Wow you are Pregnant!" (Did you really just say that twice?! As if the first time wasn't insulting enough! Oh and thanks for telling me that because I didn't already know that)
and last but not least someone said to me, "You must be having twins!" NO I am not having twins!
Seriously. I am not going out into public again till I have this baby.
Laura told me the next time someone asks if I am having twins to tell them, "No, I'm having triplets!

Hugeness
Seriously people. I am big. Like really big. But guess what? I am the ONLY one who can say that. The rest of you are supposed to says things like, "you look great!" or "You look so tiny- just like you have a little ball in your belly- the rest of you is so thin!" or "wow, from behind I can't even tell you are pregnant!" or "this must be your first!" or "you are so cute pregnant!" I don't care how big you think I am- just pretend like I am small. I will happily play along too. Got it? Good.

Getting Closer!
Wow, yesterday i was having minor contractions all day. I tossed and turned all night. Finally I got up at 4:30 with major bad round ligament paints, and minor contractions. I was pretty sure they were Braxton Hicks, but deep down I was freaking out. I didn't have my hospital bags packed. I haven't cleaned out my pantry, or organized under all the sinks, hung pictures in Ellie's room, organized her hair bows, vacuumed out the car, bought a car seat, organized my pictures from 2007, to current. I also need to cut Darrens, Paul, Ellie, and Kyles hair, and trimmed their fingernails. Darren says I am nesting, but I think it is just stuff that needs to be done. Seriously, how can I have a baby without finishing all my miscellaneous projects? Ok it's nesting. And it's a pretty darn strong instinct.

Elevator Games
The other day Darren and the kids came with me to my doctors apptontment because I was going to have an ultrasound. So, we had the appointment- and everything went well. I needed to stay later to meet with my doctor so Darren was going to take the kids home.
Now, you should know that my doctors office is on the 3rd story. So it is necessary to take the elevator or stairs down. Darren and the kids went out of the office and to the elevator to take the elevator down. When they got to the elevator, Paul and Ellie really wanted to run down the stairs instead. You know how kids are- Kyle really wanted to ride the elevator. So Darren said he would take Kyle down the elevator and race Paul and Ellie as they ran down the stairs. Sounds good. The kids were excited about this plan!
The elevator doors opened. Darren and Kyle stepped in. The elevator doors closed, and the race was on! Down went Darren and Kyle in the elevator. Down went Paul and Ellie on the stairs. Their little legs flying as fast as they could go. They have just gotta beat dad! The elevator stopped- Darren and Kyle got off, and a very old lady got on. No Paul and Ellie in sight! They had won! They looked around and realized they were on the wrong floor. They had gotten off at level 2! Not the supposed ground level!
Meanwhile Paul and Ellie have reached the ground level while a very old lady rides the elevator down to level one. As Paul and Ellie are standing outside the elevator doors waiting for Paul and Darren, Ellie gets a great idea. "Lets jump out and scare dad and Kyle when the elevator door opens!" So, they wait, down comes the elevator, the doors open and Paul and Ellie JUMP in front of the elevator and scream! Well, the innocent very old lady about jumps through the elevator roof and almost collapses on the floor, in Napoleon Dynamite style she yells, "AHH! IDIOT!" Paul and Ellie are just about as surprised as the old lady was and stood there frozen. Paul stood with his jaw open and the old lady scolded him "that was not a nice thing to do young man!" Then she left.
Just then the elevator doors open and out walk Darren and Kyle. Paul and Ellie are standing there in silence, white as ghosts. Darren asked them what was wrong, "Nothing" they replied. "Well, lets go home" Darren says, so off they go. Paul and Ellie were acting very quiet for the next 10 min when finally Paul told Darren what had happened. We all got a good kick out of it. All of us except the old lady that is.

Fun Pregnancy Statements
Well, I am 9 months pregnant. As I get older I realize what a blessing it is to be able to get pregnant and have healthy babies. With that being said, this pregnancy I decided I would try not to complain about being pregnant. I have decided to make statements instead of complain.
So, when I say things like: "I can not move" That is not a complaint. That is a statement. A complaint would be, "I am soooo uncomfortable." Let me give you some more examples:
"I woke up a lot last night"- statement
"I had the worst night sleep last night, I was miserable, I had round ligament pain all night long, I had to get up twice to use the restroom, and if I want to roll over it I have to wake up and make plans on how I am going flip my body from one side to the other. It was terrible." - complaint
"I have 2 bottoms and 3 tops that fit me."- statement
"I have worn the same ugly 2 pairs of pants and 3 tops for the last month. I am also going to be wearing those same shirts and pants for the next month. I am so sick of wearing the same uncomfortable clothes that don't really fit me anyways."-complaint
"my feet have grown 1 shoe size"- statement
"my feet are so swollen that all my shoes are tight- and my feet hurt and itch all the time."
-complaint
"I don't get as much done as I used to." -statement
"I am so slow and tired and uncomfortable all the time. Picking up something off of the floor is a feat of strength." -complaint
"I can hear my heart beat in my ears when I go up stairs." -statement
"Going up stairs is the worst! I have to rest twice, and by the time I get to the top I am huffing and I can hear my heart beating in my ears for the next 10 min." complaint
I would include paragraphs about the how my nose is stuffy, my back has a lot of pressure on it, and my stomach producing a lot more acid, but I woke up a lot last night and so I need to go lay down.
As you can see, I have not been complaining at all. Just pointing out some facts of changes that my body is going through. In fact I am feeling so good that I think I'll go get a pedicure. Just for fun- not like I need it because my toenails are really long cause I can't reach my feet.

Happy New Year!
Well, New Years has come and gone- and I have no pictures. I was completely out of commission this New Year. During the day I took the kids to the water park, then we went to Walmart and bought some fun snacks for our family party. By the time we got home I was having pretty bad contractions (just Braxton Hicks, no worries). But they were bad enough I didn't want to do a thing. My stomach hurt, my back hurt, my tailbone hurt, my legs and feet hurt. I sat on the couch or bed trying to have some sort of party for our kids- but every time I stood up it got worse. A friend in our neighborhood was having a party. I can't stand to miss a party- so the kids and I did venture out for an hour or so. Then we came back and I went to bed by 11. Darren stayed up late with the kids banging pots and pans. I don't really remember a thing. I felt so lousy there was no way I was going to 9 am church today. I woke up this morning and felt ok- so I thought maybe I could make it to church- till I looked at the clock and realized it was almost 9:30. I slept 10 1/2 hours! I decided to make it an even 12 so I went back to bed. Just kidding. But I did lay around all day and still had pretty bad Braxton Hicks all day long. The thing is, unfortunately this doesn't mean I will go into labor any sooner. It was a lot like this with all my kids- contractions for a month before actual labor. Laura is the same way. Hopefully tomorrow I will feel better cause I still have a TON to do before baby Gabe comes!
